Summer just started, and now...back to school

Lesley Silver

Within the next few weeks everyone is getting ready to head back school. The schools supplies, backpacks, and all those wonderful items that the kids say are the must have's. Parents not sure how to react, and with the way this year has started, the uncertainty of how things will be. Transitions are hard. They are hard on the kids and hard on the parents. Between expenses for the parents, new schools for some of the kids, and now the decision if they may just have to wear masks as well.

But there are ways that can make it easier for everyone AND to make it last. As summer time is generally running around, and having fun, the time to slow down should come the few days before. Start getting into a routine especially have them get back to a normal bed time.

As parents we also have to stay calm and attempt less stress. We know our kids pick up on our feelings as well. It's all a family affair. I didn't find out about Essential Oils till my kids where out of school. If I would have know the benefits earlier for my life and their's things could've been so much easier.

Take advantage of the benefits you can experience, if you are already using Essential Oils - awesome you know they help, if not it's time to get on the journey.

Here are just a few amazing tips to get you through the next few weeks, and into the future.

Lavender - one of the best and known Essential Oils. Lavender can help with with focus, can calm you down, great before you go to bed adding a few drops to your sheets, and bottom of the feet. Lavender is great to diffuse as well.

Peace - if you are prone to have some anxiety this Essential Oil is amazing - you can get it already ready to go in a "Touch" . It can be carried around and when those feelings of stress or anxiety are coming just roll in on the wrists.

Lemon - great to diffuse to to bring a calmness, this is also wonderful for nausea, so if they ride the bus, or car to school and get a little nauseous on the way you can provide a sample bottle with some lemon for them to smell. Add a few drops on the palm of the hand and breathe in. Or purchase a Diffuser necklace for them to have on them at all time. Lemon is also wonderful to increase mental alertness

Peppermint - this Essential Oil is so uplifting need a little boost, it can relieve headaches, beginning to doze off, or just a little tense, nothing like Peppermint to improve this.

Vetiver - this is great for those kids that need to focus a little more, massage into their shoulders, back, or bottom of the feet. Great for circulation as well.

and my last one for now....

Tea Tree ( Melaleuca) for those little boo boo's - great to roll on, but best for those bugs that tend to get into the kids hair ( and ours's as well) add a few drops to their shampoo, you can also make a spray and use before they go off to school.

So these are just a few of many tips that can help you and the family If interested in learning more, please contact me.
