When something sounds too good to be true it usually is, right? Maybe not. When I first heard about Essential Oils I have to say I was really skeptical. I was invited to a workshop

and it was more to get out for an evening then the workshop itself. Was going through a lousy divorce with crazy circumstances, dealing with becoming a single Mom overnight, emotional turmoil and extenuating circumstances that lead to it all. Being offered a night out with women, some friends, some wine and snacks what more can I ask.
So when they started to speak about the Essential Oils,

was listening with only half of my senses. Not really knowing much about them but hey glass of wine in hand 🍷, beginning to relax a little I watched and listened to the presentation But when they started to pass around some of the oils and I smelled them, and put some on key points, I become a little more aware. Senses became alerted. Mmm, am I becoming a little more comfortable and less pain in my neck ( I have severe neck and back issues) because of the wine 🍷 or the Essential Oils, or maybe both.
By the end of the evening I bought a Basic Enrollment Kit. It started, I learned a little and starting using some of the Essential Oils, and began to see some quick results. From putting On Guard (Protective Blend ) on my gums with an infection starting, 24 hours to clear up, to Lavender which helped me to relax. Mmm there could be something to this.
Over the next few months, and now years, I researched, I went to classes, bought books, and started experimenting. I am not saying they will cure you, or you should stop using medications if you are on any. I am Diabetic, no I will not stop using my insulin, or my medication for neuropathy. I do have to say, I am using Essential Oils - and have had extreme benefits, emotionally and physically.
In short, some essential oils work better for some ailments, and some work well for others. If you want the most effective results from your essential oils, do your research to make sure you are using them correctly. You also have to be aware that there are many essential oils on the market that are not pure, they are mixed with carrier oils as well, or have been adulterated in the processing. Speak with an Aromatherapist who is trained in the oils and what they are used for.

Depending on your needs and the benefits ensure that you are purchasing Essential Oils from a reputable company. Only purchase 100% Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade. Yes they can be expensive, but when they are pure, the amount of Essential Oils that you will require will be just a few drops.
Research what you can and can't use depending on age, medical conditions, and do a small "test" ahead of time to ensure no allergy. You may find that you are sensitive to some, but have no issues with others.
There is a lot of research out there that proves that essential oils really do work. Will it cure a disease, currently there is no evidence related research to prove this, but many physicians are beginning to use Essential Oils in their practice. Clinical studies are currently being conducted in Europe, Japan, India, Australia, the U.S. and Canada. doTERRA®, one of the world’s leading essential oil company, is partnering with hospitals such as MD Anderson, John Hopkins and Vanderbilt for research and scientifically proven published studies. Many essential oils have been supported by research. Tee Tree is one that has been very effective on fighting antibiotic resistant bacteria. You can use for acne treatment, I love it on those nasty bites that you have to avoid to scratch, add it with Rosemary and it is awesome to get rid of lice. Lavender has calming effects, great to help you relax, sleep, and has been shown to reduce pain post-operative. Lemon just by smelling can reduce nausea and vomiting, and can help with those that get car sick. Lemon also has great antioxidant properties. Add it to your water, and drink away.
A study done by Dr. Terry Friedmann M.D. and Dennis Eggert from Bringham Young University found that cedarwood oil on children with ADHD improved their focus by 65 percent. Another study in the International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice found that taking lavender essential oil helped to reduce symptoms of anxiety, sleep disturbance, and depression. Consider how long essential oils have been used

. We are aware from the Bible that they where used for many uses. Who are we to judge if they will or won't benefit people. Let each individual decide for themselves. There's no harm in using them to your advantage and you may just find out how much you love them for what ever you decide to use them for.
Hope you enjoy the Journey as much as I am....
