Health vs Wellness

What is the difference between them?

Health is generally that you are free of sickness. When you are not healthy you work to relieve your body of your disease or the problems that are occurring because of this illness. You may be on certain medications to relieve pain or in treatment for the pain through therapy. You may not even experience pain through your illness but it may cause other medical induced issues that can worsen if not treated.

Wellness, on the other hand, is the state of living a healthy lifestyle. Experts of wellness say that there are six different components of wellness. These six components should mix to create well-being of an individual. They are physical health, mental or emotional health, intellectual health, social health, environmental health and spiritual health. Wellness aims at the general well-being of the individual, and it does not aim at the treatment of various types of diseases.

If you maintain “Wellness” this can lead to a healthier you. It could possibly lead to avoiding certain diseases, illnesses and just an overall “better” you. The use of Essential Oils can increase the immunity in the body against disease, or help in the emotional, physical, spiritual and mental health for yourself and your loved ones.

Generally, when you are ill, your first stop for you or a family member is to run to your doctor, but depending on what the issue is you may be in a position to help yourself and you family with an alternative, safe, and healthier way to improve the basic diseases, aches and pains. I am not talking here about major illness or injury of course you should get to a physician to have things looked at and for diagnoses. Once you have a diagnosis there can be a safe, natural alternative to care. (Always consult with a Specialist in the field – such as a Certified Aromatherapist or someone who consults with..)

What can be an alternative? Essential Oils. Think of it, they have been used since Bible Times, they are derived from plants for the purpose of enhancing the wellbeing one’s physical or psychological wellbeing. So, if plant based, they are all natural.

Just some of the ways essential oils can be beneficial:

· Improve immunity and speed illness recovery

· Deal with infection (under the care of a professional)

· Balance Hormones

· For diffusing and natural air cleansing

· Topically (when diluted)
