Winter Wellness - What can you do or use?

What do you use to help you and your family get through the next few months? No matter where you live and the weather you have, it is still change of season. With that comes:

* Cold and Flu

* Can impact our mood - more known as the Winter Blues

* Weight Gain - sometimes due to lack of activity (if in colder temperatures) as we spend more time at home

What can we do to try to stay healthy? Here are a few tips

  • get outdoors in natural daylight as much as possible

  • get a good night's sleep – go to bed and wake up at the same time every day

  • destress with exercise or meditation – stress has been shown to make you feel tired

  • Healthy Diet - more fruit and vegetables - and try to stay away from so many carbohydrates ( which tend to make you sluggish).

  • more milk or dairy products for the benefits of protein, Vitamins A and B12, and calcium to keep our bones strong.

  • drink a lot of water

  • wash your hands regularly

If you do all this you may avoid the illness but more important to take care of your health and families is to boost your nutrition with a supplement. What you will need will largely depend on you and your families lifestyle. You want to balance yourself and your children. You also have to consider if you have certain health concerns or disorders, supplements can really benefit as well. You may want to consult with a Naturopath or Doctor what will be right for you

But new to many - but not new as it has been around since the beginning of time, are Essential Oils. There are a variety of essential oils that have found to be highly effective against airborne bacteria. They can also do a lot of strengthen your body, boost your immune system
